Winter Grilling
In the south BBQ season is pretty much year round. I have knocked snow off of my grill on a determined day, but that is not the norm. There are however some cold days where slow cooking can get down right bone chilling.
Something about the southern humid air that cuts right through you.
Here is a great recipe that does take a bit for preparation, but the outdoor grilling is minimized.
It's Grilled Flank Steak with Peppers. Happy winter grilling!

How Long Until Thanksgiving?
It's November, so that means it's time to ramp up the food intake. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because of the food and time spent with family.
Here's a cool little countdown clock to tell you exactly how long it is to Thanksgiving. Even down to the seconds.
Check it out!

There’s nothing better than a freshly grilled food that is perfectly crispy on the outside while totally juicy inside. It’s likely you have some wonderful memories of barbecue food from when you were younger, and now you’re eager to pass on the same types of memories to your kids. Grilling food is the type of eating experience that brings people together.
Cooking with a backyard barbecue is something of an art form, and it takes an element of skill in order to cook great food every time. There are barbecue Masters who try something new each and every time they fire up their grill.
You don’t have to look far to find quality barbecues these days, and even though they can be expensive, the best ones last for quite a long time. The key to delicious barbecue starts with a strong and sturdy barbecue whether you are using charcoal or gas. Most grill-masters prefer a wood/charcoal pit, but if you're creative enough you can make some pretty good meat with gas. Newer barbecues can be rather expensive but it’s always worth your time and money to invest in a great one that will last you for many years to come. When you find the right grill you know it right away as soon as you bite into the food that comes off the grill. It’s a magical experience and you can’t wait to bring new recipes to life.
One of the most important things is preparation, and you should always plan your barbecue menu with your guests in mind. Make sure to be on the lookout for fresh ingredients and choices that are local if you want to get the best tasting barbecue around. Avoid using anything frozen and remember that even if they are more convenience, they simply don’t deliver in taste. And nothing complements barbecue meat like a wide selection of side dishes so always make sure to have things like potato salad, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob and coleslaw. Taking the time to cover all areas of barbecue including desserts ensures that all of your guests will leave happy and recognize you as the best grill master in the neighborhood.
